Dynamic Single Rope With universal diameter
The Mantle single rope is an optimal all-rounder rope. With a universal 9.8 mm diameter, the dynamic rope is compatible with various belay devices, so that climbing beginners and climbing professionals can enjoy a comfortable use of the belay device. Although thinner ropes are lighter in weight, they can also slip through the belay device unintentionally. If a rope is thicker, smooth belaying is difficult, as the rope passes through the belay device less smoothly when being pulled in or out.
To ensure control during rope manoeuvres, the middle of the rope is clearly marked. We also advise you not to shorten the rope.
After climbing, it is best to clean the rope by hand and, if necessary, with a rope brush and let it dry in the air (without sunlight) lying on the ground. Afterwards, it is best to store it in the rope bag in a dry and dark place. In the rope bag the rope is protected from dirt and abrasion before, during and after climbing. Rope bags for ropes up to 90 m are also available from Mantle.
Remember also: always tie a knot in the end of the rope for sport climbing.
Depending on the length, The stylish orange / black Mantle rope can be used for various purposes
20m – 40m: for belaying on hiking trips or via ferrata as well as on alpine tours
50m – 60m: for indoor climbing or rockclimbing. We recommend: inform yourself in advance about the minum length applicable in your climbing gym and about the lengths of the routes in the climbing area
60m – 80m: for rockclimbing. We recommend: inform yourself about the length of the routes in the guidebook in advance
