„World is on fire“ – und ein paar Boulder mehr…

The COVID restrictions are easing. Life is slowly returning to normal. Climbing too.
However, lately, since outdoor sports have been allowed again, I've been focusing more on bouldering. Just as the saying goes, being alone in the woods is also nice.
So I took the opportunity to try one or two boulders I had been eyeing for a long time. Right at the beginning, I managed "Angel Ripper" FB 8a and "Sergaj Budka", also FB 8a, in a short session after a hold broke off.
Driven by the desire to get back on the rope, shortly after I read in the Frankenjura guide topo that the route "Hot Spot" could also be done with a crash pad due to its very low height. Read, thought, and done! Although it was more of a high boulder than a route, I managed a repeat of "Hot Spot" 8a. At the same time, I also managed to hang a sit start on it.

Next on my list was a boulder I had tried briefly two years ago. Back then, I only managed the easier start. With renewed enthusiasm, I now set out to try the entire boulder "World is on fire" FB 8b. On the first day, the start gave me trouble again. Especially getting the first finger hole right was not without its challenges. In the second session, the start went smoothly from the get-go! Since I still had quite a bit of the subsequent sequence in my head, it didn't take long to find a solution for the following sequences.
In the next session, surprisingly, I was able to make an attempt right at the beginning, in which I fell like a wet sack from the ceiling of the cave right at the very end. At the latest by this point, I realized that week after week of only climbing the fingerboard hadn't exactly improved my endurance. But it's still enough for one or two attempts each time. However, these had the same ending as the first one.... The first attempt in the next session was the one! This time, although not everything went perfectly, the will to finish was stronger than the pump. So I was able to send one of my hardest boulders "World is on fire" 8b.
Overall, I have managed 12 boulders between FB 7c+ and Fb 8b lately.
Let's see what else summer brings.
