Finally finished school, finally free, finally unlimited time for bouldering. That was my mindset this summer, along with the goal of sending ten 8A boulders this year. So, first things first: out to the crag.
After all, that’s where I spent most of my summer. From Magic Wood to Silvretta and all the way to northern Åland, I encountered a wide variety of movements, rocks, and problems that all challenged me in their own way. This summer definitely pushed me to my limits, but I’m sure I can push them even further in the coming months, because the search for my personal limit is simply too exciting to give up. That’s why I’ll keep training and enjoy every brief moment I can spend on the rock. Because I know that every failed attempt, every drop of sweat, and every moment of frustration will ultimately help me improve.
For me, the last four months have been one of the best times I’ve ever had. Having fun bouldering with friends—that’s the secret to a good mood.
