The last few weeks before the winter semester flew by. That's just how it always goes when you're busy with something you enjoy.

In my case, it was the Dolomites that managed to make days feel like mere hours. Together with Manfred Mauler, we went to the area near Cortina d’Ampezzo. The main focus was the classic route "Punta Fiames". The 15 pitches that follow a somewhat adventurous approach are pure enjoyment. Unfortunately, however, some of the belay stations have been refurbished, and a few bolts have been added.
After the rather relaxed climbing in the Dolomites, things got busy again at my home crag. Quite spontaneously, I was able to motivate myself and a few friends to tackle one more outstanding route. To my surprise, it only took a few attempts, and on the third day, one of the last lines, "Ironmann" (8b+), was also climbed on the 6th try.

After that, it was back to my second home in the Frankenjura.
With plenty of motivation to climb and little to learn, the first few days went very well. After "Blowjob" (8a), "Totgesagte leben länger" (8a+) and "Six feed under" (8a+), I was able to tick off the extreme classic "Subway" (8b) just before my next trip to Ceredo. I'm excited to see how things continue in Italy
