My goal for the 2025 season is to win an international youth competition.&#8221;<\/p><p>Said and done!<\/p><p>On 18 May, the 15-year-old from Oberhaching secured the title of European Youth Champion 2025.<\/p><p>We spoke to Paula after her success:<\/p><p><em>You have already achieved your goal for the 2025 season: to win an international youth competition. Congratulations once again!<\/em><\/p><p>Do you already have a next goal in mind or are you enjoying your success for now?<\/p><p><em>&#8220;Now I&#8217;m focussing on the Youth World Championships, which take place at the end of July. I want to climb into the final (top 6) there.&#8221;<\/em><\/p><p>What helps you to maintain a balance between ambition and having fun climbing?<\/p><p><em>&#8220;I&#8217;m generally a very ambitious person. However, it&#8217;s not just the results that count for me, but also the fun of climbing and having fun with my team mates, coaches and athletes from other countries. It&#8217;s also great that I get to travel a lot and attend great sporting events.&#8221;<\/em><\/p><p>What do you particularly enjoy about climbing in general?<\/p><p><em>&#8220;It never gets boring. There are always different movements, grip types and challenges.&#8221;<\/em><\/p><p>What is special about climbing competitions?<\/p><p><em>&#8220;I love comparing myself to others and, above all, showing what I can do and what I&#8217;ve trained for.
